About

"From East Africa to Melbourne — the sound carries every city it has ever lived in."
Claudio Maker Ater Dak, professionally known as CMD Maker, is a dynamic South Sudanese rapper and singer, born in Kitiri, Eastern Equatoria. He blends contemporary Afrobeat, dancehall, R&B and hip-hop with soulful melodies and infectious East-African rhythms.
He started making music in 2011 across East Africa — Kampala, Juba, and Nairobi — building a sound rooted in the diaspora experience. After moving to Australia in 2016, he stepped away from the music for a season, focusing on rebuilding life on a new continent.
The return came in August 2024 with the debut album I Am My Own Fan — a confident, 15-track statement featuring Vacation(now going viral), Superstar, Ngumanya and collaborations with Papa Lee, Mario Bol, King Job, D Mac, Aquila, Emma 47 and others. He followed it in June 2025 with Zaamandie, a 13-track second album powered by Feeling, Melbourne Life, Loco and Way Out.
Alongside the albums sit two EPs — 2024 Mi Year and the original May 22(2012) — and a 2025/26 single run including What I Do, Urban Majje, Find You, DND, Freedom, Kalamat with Wando Star, and Your Friend. CMD Maker bridges his East African roots with a global pop instinct, working closely with producer/sound engineer Kobby Worldwide.
